JESSUP, Pa. — The Family of Saint Ubaldo, a non-profit organization, is kicking off the month of May with the first-ever Meatball & Sauce competition. May is a month full of celebration for Jessup and the Saint Ubaldo team. Almost all of the events taking place in the borough are leading up to the Festa Dei Ceri, where The Family of Saint Ubaldo team carries the Saint through the streets for the "Race of Saints" to honor Saint Ubaldo.
The meatball and sauce competition is just another celebration to add to The Family of Saint Ubaldo's May line-up. The competition is anonymous and will be numbered for tasters. There will also be a 50/50 ticket sale, basket raffles, and other prizes at the competition.
The competition will take place on Saturday, May 4th, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Tickets to the event are $20 dollars, and only 200 tickets are being sold. You can buy tickets at the door or by messaging The Family of St. Ubaldo Facebook page.
