Bitter cold will hang around just one night longer

Cold air remained in place to kick off the weekend, however, it turns MUCH warmer for Sunday.

Teeth-chattering cold has been in place behind an arctic cold front that passed through in the pre-dawn hours of Friday. The wind was whipping for the past 24 hours, but is beginning to back off now. "Feels Like" temperatures ranged between 20 and 30 degrees below zero Saturday morning. The arctic air isn't sticking around though. By tomorrow we're right back to the "winter" weather we've become accustomed to this year. 40s to near 50 is forecast all next week with the chance for rain showers on Thursday.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy, breezy and warmer. High 45.

Sun Night: Mostly cloudy. Low 35.

Monday: Decreasing clouds. High 40.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, breezy with a late PM shower chance. High 46.

Wednesday: Partly sunny. High 47.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy, rain showers. High 49.

Friday: Mostly cloudy. High 50.

Saturday: Tracking our next winter storm, likely a rain/snow mix. High 40.
