Police activity reported in Scranton

Officers, a SWAT team, and other emergency responders blocked off the area near a home on Luzerne Street.

SCRANTON, Pa. — Two streets in Scranton were closed for hours on Wednesday as police converged on a home.

Police and the SWAT team were called to a double-block home on Luzerne Street around 7:30 p.m.

The police chief tells us Jamal Morrison, who threatened to harm his family, was believed to be inside, but he wasn't there.

Investigators tell us the SWAT team was called to assist because Morrison has an outstanding warrant on other charges.

After the incident, there's a new warrant for Morrison's arrest on terroristic threats charges in Scranton.
