LACKAWANNA COUNTY, Pa. — A little league field in Glenburn Township will soon be lit up at night after years of long legal battles.
Due to recent weather conditions at the Ackerly Field, the "Opening Night Under the Lights" was postponed from Friday to Monday, April 15.
The Little League Association has wanted to add lights to the field for years. The case reached the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania, where Judges finally allowed the installation last year.
Festivities are expected to kick off after the games around 7 p.m. Volunteers are still needed for the event.
