Firefighters battle blaze in Olyphant

A state police fire marshal has been called in to investigate.

OLYPHANT, Pa. — Firefighters in Lackawanna County were busy battling a blaze that broke out on North Valley Avenue just after 10 p.m. on Wednesday.

Officials say it started on the second floor and part of the home was engulfed when firefighters arrived.

Four people were able to get out of the home safely. They are staying with family.

A state police fire marshal has been called in to investigate.
