Winners announced for WNEP's Snow Thrower Contest 2023

Kurt Aaron and Ally Gallo draw the winners for this year's Snow Thrower Contest.

MOOSIC, Pa. — On Monday, December 11, Kurt Aaron and Ally Gallo drew the names of this year's Snow Thrower Contest, live on Newswatch 16 at 6 pm.

Grand Prize Winner:  Denise Ritz, Hazleton, PA
Denise will receive a Troy-Bilt Storm 26 inch, 243cc, 2-stage gas snow blower

Runner Up: Tara Gulius, Wilkes-Barre, PA
Tara will receive a Troy-Bilt Squall 21 inch, 123cc, single-stage gas snow thrower

Official Measurement

It's official. We measured our first 1" of snow Thursday morning, December 7, 2023, at 10:40 a.m. in the WNEP Backyard!

Winners will be announced on Monday, December 11, on Newswatch 16 at 6 p.m. Good luck!
