WYOMING COUNTY, Pa. — Keystone College's Future Healthcare Professionals Club is hosting the inaugural 5K Sugar Walk/Run during the Sugar Shack Open House all to score a sweet victory over cancer.
Proceeds from the race will go towards northeastern Pennsylvania's chapter of the American Cancer Society.
"We're also the future health care professionals clubs. So cancer was just kind of a great way to tie in something that meant something to us since we want to work in healthcare and then also raise money for a great cause," said Casey Stratton, Keystone College student.
The Sugar Walk/Run is this Sunday at Keystone College's Eckel Pavilion in La Plume Township, and it's not too late to sign up.
