WAYNE COUNTY, Pa. — It's a tradition for the faithful in part of Wayne County.
St. Tikhon's Monastery in South Canaan Township near Waymart had its annual religious pilgrimage this weekend.
Worshippers had the opportunity to attend liturgical services and reconnect with old friends.
There was also a blessing for the newly opened School of Iconography and Liturgical Arts Center. Students there will learn the sacred art of painting icons, the symbolism behind each icon's colors, and more.
Officials say it is the only school of its kind in the U.S.
