Coroner says Schuylkill County deaths are homicide

Two bodies were found early Tuesday in a wooded area of New Philadelphia.

NEW PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — Autopsies are complete on two people found dead in the woods of  Schuylkill County.

Following autopsies done at the Dauphin County Forensic Facility, the deaths of both people were ruled homicide. The cause of their deaths was not released.

State police identified one of the victims as Hunter Mock, 18, of New Philadelphia. Troopers did not release the name of the other victim, a 16-year-old boy.

The bodies were found Tuesday in a wooded area off Ferndale Road in New Philadelphia.

It was just after 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 8, when Angelito Caraballo, 16, was last seen at his home in New Philadelphia, state police say.

Hunter Mock was also reported missing by state police on Monday.

While there was no confirmation from state police, numerous Facebook posts late Tuesday night and throughout the day Wednesday said the two missing boys, Mock and Caraballo, had died.

Caraballo's passing was confirmed by family members on social media. An obituary was also published.

There is no word from investigators in Schuylkill County about possible suspects in the double homicide case.
