SCRANTON, Pa. — One way to beat the heat of this holiday weekend sun was at a splash pad in Lackawanna County.
Novembrino Park's Splash Pad in West Scranton opened this weekend.
Families say it was the perfect time.
"It's great. It's a great environment for the kids and families alike to get out and enjoy the sun. It's a good family time," said Vernon Poole, Scranton.
Officials say the splash pad will be open on weekends throughout the summer.
