CARBONDALE, Pa. — After sitting in storage for about a decade, it's all aboard a historic caboose in Lackawanna County.
Earlier this summer, the Carbondale Historical Society decided to spruce up the Delaware and Hudson Caboose.
It's been cleaned and placed on replica tracks close to Main Street.
Officials are working on plans to turn the caboose into a visitors center and museum to celebrate the history of the Delaware and Hudson Railroad, which was founded in the Pioneer City.
