Crews from the borough and neighboring communities battled the blaze for hours.

CATAWISSA, Pa. — A woman is dead after an early morning fire in Columbia County.

Crews were called to a home along the 300 block of North Third Street in Catawissa around 3:15 a.m. Saturday. When they arrived, they found heavy flames and smoke coming from the home.
