Easter "Chimney" Pastries An Eastern European Tradition Made By Little Bakery

Hand Crafted And Oh So Good

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. — A visit to Little Bakery in Bloomsburg is like a sweet trip to Eastern and Central Europe!  Owner Natalia Bundziak offers unique pastries, breads, cookies, cakes and other delightful baked goods which honor her Ukrainian Eastern European heritage. Home &  Backyard visited Natalia who showed us how to make a traditional Easter Hungarian "Chimney Pastry" typically sold at outdoor Easter markets. These cone shaped pastry treats are filled with fresh fruits, fruit cremes, ice cream or other fillings.  The dough is hand rolled and placed on a wooden dowel then baked in an oven.  Natalia also showed us various traditional home made breads such as the Ukrainian Paska bread and Czech Mazanec bread.  In addition to Eastern and Central European influenced goodies, Little Bakery offers a variety of baked items such as poppy seed roll, cupcakes, cannoli's and cookies.
