Wawa is having special promotions including free coffee all day Tuesday for their 60th birthday.

TAMPA, Fla. — To celebrate Wawa's 60th anniversary, the company is continuing its annual tradition and offering customers a free hot coffee of any size all day on Tuesday.

The Pennsylvania-based convenience store expects to give nearly 1.5 million free cups of coffee at more than 1,000 stores nationwide, according to a news release from the company.

The free coffee will be in vintage cups reflecting designs through the decades. Stores will also be decked out in 1960s decor and have special 60-cent promotions on teas, juices, lemonade, a birthday cake donut and other items.

All customers have to do is go to their local store and grab their favorite hot beverage from the self-serve coffee bar.

Wawa's across the country will also be highlighting a customer that is "near and dear to the store team" and will name them the "day brightener." The special customer will get a special sash, mug and a week's worth of coffee.

The company will also present $1 million in gift cards to national and local partners such as the Special Olympics, the American Red Cross and Children's Miracle Network.

The chain founded in 1803 spans six states including New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C and Florida. The first Wawa Food Market opened in 1964 in Pennsylvania, and it's currently headquartered in Wawa, Pennsylvania.

Their signature branded coffee, introduced in the 1970s is one of their most popular products.
