HAZLETON, Pa. — Lilia Calvert is only a sophomore at Abington Heights. But she is the first girl in school history to lead her team to a state championship game.
The Lady Comets will play Moon on Saturday at 4pm at Eagle View Middle School in Mechanicsburg for the "3A" state final.
Her 64 goals this year have been highlight moments for Abington Heights and it didn't change on Tuesday night at Harman-Geist Stadium in Hazleton.
A quick warm-up didn't bother the sensational sophomore as she poured in the first two goals leading the Comets to the 3-1 win over Shikellamy.
