The search for the next Gerber baby is underway: How to nominate your little one

The 2024 Gerber Baby - also known as their "Chief Growing Officer" - will receive a $25,000 cash prize and more.

WASHINGTON — The search is on for a new Gerber Baby and this year the annual contest is featuring more babies than ever.

While the baby food giant will still crown a 2024 Gerber Baby, all of this year's photo entries will also be in the running for 10 new "Inchstone Moment" categories. The categories are meant to celebrate a baby's tiny triumphs ranging from "New Food Moment," "Sleepy moment," "Little Bestie Moment" and more.

And for the first time, this year's selection committee will also include the parents of former Gerber Babies Zane, Kairi, Isa, Magnolia, Lucas, Riley, Isla and 2023 Gerber Baby, Maddie.

Parents can submit photos of their baby or toddler (up to 4 years old) on Gerber's website through May 24.

"This year's Photo Search gives parents a platform to applaud every one of baby's moments, from big milestones to everyday joys," said Angela Madlangbayan, Vice President of Marketing at Gerber. "We are excited to find and celebrate not only our next Gerber Baby, but also more little ones and their families to further our goal of supporting parents and caregivers who are nurturing the next generation."

The 2024 Gerber Baby - also known as their "Chief Growing Officer" - will receive a $25,000 cash prize, a new wardrobe from Gerber's baby clothing brand and a year's worth of Gerber products. They'll also be featured in social media posts and marketing campaigns for Gerber throughout the year.

The company will also be making a $25,000 donation to March of Dimes' infant and maternal health programs.

The 10 "Inchstone Moment" winners will each win a $500 Gerber.com gift card, apparel and specific prizes based on their category.

Gerber, a Nestlé subsidiary, first introduced its photo contest in 2010. Potential winners will get an email from Gerber in June, with the winner announced sometime this summer.
