EAST BUFFALO TOWNSHIP — Bucknell University officials said four members of the men’s cross country team were injured after being hit by a vehicle.
It happened Thursday night on Smoketown Road near Lewisburg as the group ran near Bucknell’s campus.
Three runners were treated and released from a hospital. A fourth was still in a hospital Friday.
In the wake of the accident, the university withdrew both the men’s and women’s cross country teams from an invitational meet at Penn State University.
No charges have been filed at this time in the crash in Union County.
The university said the teams are expected to participate in the Dickinson Long-Short Invitational on September 26.
