MINERSVILLE, Pa. — Fire destroyed part of a row home in Schuylkill County on Sunday.
The fire started on the 600 block of North Second Street in Minersville shortly before 1 p.m.
There is no word yet if anyone was injured but fire officials say everyone got out.
A neighbor tells Newswatch 16 he rescued two people from the third floor of one home.
That neighbor spoke to Newswatch 16 about how he and another man grabbed a ladder and helped them to safety.
"I lived on this block for about 8 years, and I can't see somebody. I'm gonna help if I can, and I saw them, and I had to help them out," said Oscar Rivera, neighbor.
By 3 p.m., the fire was out, but a home was gutted, and its roof had collapsed.
PPL Electric Utilities shut off power to 168 homes and businesses in this area so crews could fight the blaze.
A state police fire marshal was called to the scene to investigate the cause of the fire in Schuylkill County.
