PennDOT issues speed restrictions on area highways during wintry weather

PennDOT temporarily reduced speeds to 45 mph on several highways in our area because of the winter storm. Speed restrictions have since been lifted.

PENNSYLVANIA, USA — UPDATE: Speed limits have been restored as of 8 a.m. Monday.

PennDOT will continue to treat roadways in the area until they are clear.

PennDOT is issuing some speed restrictions because of the winter storm.

It goes for Interstates 80, 81, 84 and 380.

The temporary speed limit is 45 mph.

The agency is asking people to avoid being out on the roads if possible.
