PennDOT has wrapped up work on a mine subsidence along Route 61 near Shamokin and both northbound lanes are open again.
The hole opened Wednesday afternoon, forcing PennDOT to close the northbound lanes of Route 61 and forcing traffic to the shoulder.
The hole was 12 feet wide and five feet deep. PennDOT crews filled it with rock and covered it with concrete.
