EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. — State police are searching for a suspect after a deadly shooting Friday night at a bar near East Stroudsburg.
The shooting happened shortly before 11 p.m. at My Place Bar & Grill on Milford Road in Middle Smithfield Township, state police said. The victim — whose identity was not disclosed — was hit by gunfire and later died at Lehigh Valley Pocono Medical Center.
Troopers have identified Matthew Morales, 30, as a suspect in the shooting. He is considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information on Morales' whereabouts is asked to call 911.
The Troop N Major Case Team and the Monroe County district attorney's office are investigating the deadly shooting. Troop N covers the counties of Monroe, Carbon, Columbia and lower Luzerne.
District Attorney Mike Mancuso declined to comment when reached Saturday.
