Hundreds affected by power outages in northeastern and central Pennsylvania

PENNSYLVANIA, USA — The following counties are experiencing power outages, according to the PPL Outage Map, due to Tuesday's severe weather:

Lycoming County:

581 customers are impacted by an outage in Williamsport. Weather is the reported cause of the issue and is estimated to be repaired around 11 p.m. Tuesday night.

Luzerne County:

550 customers in West Hazleton and Hazle Township are impacted by an outage due to weather. Repairs are estimated to be completed around 11 p.m. Tuesday night. 600 customers in Wilkes-Barre are impacted by an outage due to weather. Repairs are estimated to be completed by 3 p.m. Thursday.

Newswatch 16 found a damaged utility pole along Butler Street in Wilkes-Barre, where customers are experiencing outages.

Lackawanna County:

1,946 customers in Old Forge and Taylor are impacted by an outage due to weather. Crews have been sent to make repairs and are estimated to be completed by 3 p.m. Thursday.

Columbia County:

755 customers in Bloomsburg are impacted by an outage due to weather. Repairs are estimated to be completed by 3 p.m. Thursday.
