MUNCY CREEK TOWNSHIP -- Flames hit a home early Wednesday in Lycoming County.
Crews were called to the place on West Water Street near Muncy around 5:30 a.m.
Flames were coming from the home when Newswatch 16 was on scene.
With temperatures near freezing, firefighters had to deal with a frozen hydrant and crews slipping and falling on ice.
“(We had to) seek alternate sources like a different hydrant, bring in extra manpower. We actually had a school bus on the scene so the firefighters could get warmed up for a bit,” said Chief Scott Delany of the Muncy Area fire department.
There is no word from fire officials on the cause of the fire.
