LUZERNE COUNTY -- If you like extreme stunts, exotic animals, and an all around good laugh, you might find yourself at the Irem Shrine Circus in Luzerne County.

I think they are doing a great job," said Jeff Tranell from State College, "lots of great tricks and it's a lot of fun."

"I think it's cool because you're like so close and I mean it's like you're not missing anything," said Kira Heller of Plymoth.

The 66th annual event swung back into town at the 109th Armory in Luzerne County.

"Well there is something for everybody in the entire family," said Ringmaster Bill Martin, "whether it's the daredevil attraction, the high-wire act, the motorcycle load or also the daring people on the trapeze."

"I came as a kid so we brought them to see the circus," said Tranell.

For Jeff Tranell and his family from State College, coming to the Shrine Circus at the Armory is a family tradition.

With his son turning seven in just a few days, the show turned out to be the perfect birthday gift.

"My favorite part of this is that over there, when they went on the bicycle," said Nate Tranell of State College.

Besides the acrobats, the merchandise, and all the candy and popcorn you could eat, folks at this circus say the best part is seeing the animals up close and personal.

"I think it's amazing just to see these creatures up close and personal and just to see all the performers. It's a great experience," said Tranell.

"They are cool.  The elephants are big and I never saw them that big," said Nate Tranell.

"Oh my gosh! Are you kidding?  They are big, they are big," said Shirley Pierontoni of Nanticoke.

The circus will be at the 109th Armory until April 11.  For more information about the circus and how to get tickets, click here.
