LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — A former state representative from Luzerne County has died.
George Hasay's wife says he felt sick for the last couple of days and passed away overnight in his sleep.
Hasay served the 117th District which includes Columbia, Luzerne, and Wyoming Counties.
He was elected as a Republican to the State House of Representatives in 1973 and re-elected to serve 16 consecutive terms after.
