LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — A community in Luzerne County came together on Sunday to support one of their own who is battling breast cancer.
Pisano Family Wines in Lehman Township held a benefit for Katie Poplaski, who was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer.
Poplaski said it was amazing to see all the support, and she was glad to be able to raise awareness about breast cancer.
"We own a salon in Dallas. And we've always been huge on helping people and it's really beautiful to see it come back. I think it's an amazing thing to show awareness. And I want to advocate for everybody," said Poplaski.
The benefit included food, drinks, raffle baskets, and games.
