WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — Spring is just around the corner, which means plenty of new acts at the F.M. Kirby Center in downtown Wilkes-Barre.

Saturday, Grateful Dead cover band "Dark Star Orchestra" plays a few tunes.

"This show sold out last year, so I recommend if you want to see this show, you gotta get tickets," said Neil Prisco, Director of Marketing at F.M. Kirby.

Next week, more harmony for music lovers.

"If you like basically jam music and you like dancing, disco biscuits is for you, and that's coming up on Thursday, March 28th," added Prisco.

If you have stars in your eyes, there will be plenty of big performers coming to the area.

"We have a lot of our big headliners coming in April. We have Bonnie Raitt, we have Derek Hough, Frankie Valli, that is rescheduled from October when we had our flood here," said Joell Yarmel, Executive Director at F.M. Kirby.

The Kirby continues to recover from the devastating flooding.

"I think a lot of times the community is like, oh, the bathrooms are still down; if they went down there and saw what we're dealing with on a daily basis, it's been a struggle, but we have not skipped a beat on stage," added Yarmel.

Yarmel expects Kirby to be back at 100% by next season. Until then, the shows must go on.

"We have the magician/illusionist Michael Grandinetti coming in. His magic is unbelievable," said Prisco.

You know what else is unbelievable? The cost to see this show is only $10.

"We also have our 6th annual Kirby Fest, which is always my favorite cause it's our annual fundraiser that we have here, where we feature local businesses, wineries, breweries, distilleries, restaurants, musicians, and artists, and that's on April 20th," added Yarmel.

Dancing with the Stars sensation Derek Hough will grace the stage on April 23rd. His tour will feature dancers and costume changes galore.

If you splurge for the fancy tickets, they offer VIP packages. "The highest top tier in VIP gets to dance with him on stage," added Prisco.

Another "hot" show for the ladies,

"For our girl's night on Broadway, we have Menopause, the Musical 2 coming, so you gotta get your girls together, gal pals, and have a fun night out," said Yarmel.

April 24th, T-rex and Friends take over. Dinosaur World Live, an interactive show for the whole family.
