Bridge in Scranton reopens after building is torn down

Crews closed it overnight to demolish the former Keen's Floral building.

SCRANTON, Pa. — The Green Ridge Street bridge between Main Avenue and Nay Aug Avenue in Scranton is reopening on Tuesday morning.

Crews closed it overnight to demolish the former Keen's Floral building.

The bridge reopened shortly before 6 a.m., so traffic should be flowing again.

Work for the larger project of replacing the bridge on Green Ridge Street will be ongoing through 2026 in Lackawanna County.
