MOSCOW — Teachers in the North Pocono School District and the school board may be close to reaching a contract agreement.
Last Thursday, teachers hit the picket lines in the Moscow area in a dispute mostly over health care coverage.
A judge issued a temporary court order forcing teachers back into the classroom.
A hearing on the issue was scheduled for Tuesday morning but was called off when the school district withdrew its request for a permanent injunction to stop another walkout.
A spokesperson for the teachers union says the two sides are closer to an agreement.
Plans for another strike are on hold while talks continue.
