TAYLOR -- Survivors of the devastating earthquake in Nepal in April visited Lackawanna County.
They stopped by the New Covenant Fellowship Church in Taylor to thank the members of the congregation for everything they did to help in the wake of that disaster.
"They prayed for us. Also they made us feel somebody cares. Somebody over there cares for us, and they are doing something, and that made us feel more safe," said Silvio Silva, an earthquake survivor.
The church organized fundraisers and drives to help the victims of the 7.8-magnitude quake.
One of the visitors said the aid that was sent by that congregation was vital to getting through the weeks after the earthquake.
