Luzerne County man dies in Carbon County crash

The two-vehicle crash was reported just before 6 p.m. on Ashdown Drive in Mahoning Township.

CARBON COUNTY, Pa. — A two-car crash in Carbon County that hospitalized four people Friday evening is now fatal, state police confirmed.

Trevor Hunsicker, 36, of Kingston, succumbed at Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest Hospital to injuries he suffered just before 6 p.m. in the 400 block of Ashdown Drive in Mahoning Township in Carbon County, according to state police and the Lehigh County coroner, Daniel A. Buglio.

Driving fast, he lost control of his vehicle and collided with another vehicle heading in the opposite direction. He and his passenger were thrown from their vehicle.

Hunsicker and three other people were hospitalized from the crash. He died of his injuries just before 10 p.m., Buglio said. Hunsicker's death was ruled an accident.

Four people were injured after a two-vehicle crash in Carbon County Friday evening. 

The Carbon County Communications Center confirms the crash was called in just before 6pm. 

Crews responded to the 400 block of Ashdown Drive in Mahoning Township, near Lehighton.

3 patients were taken by ambulance and one was lifeflighted. 

The extent of their injuries was not clear, but initial calls indicated at least one person was ejected from a vehicle. 

State Police in Lehighton are handling.
