ASHFIELD -- Kids enjoyed some safe trick or treating in one part of Carbon County.
Ashfield hosted their first "Trunk or Treat" event Wednesday night.
People parked vehicles in the East Penn Hill Social parking lot with trunks full of candy for children.
"We figured it would just be cool to see the kids come out and we all know it's safe. We all know all the people, so it's something fun to do," said Sessa Lenhardt of Ashfield.
Organizers said they hope the event will grow in future years.
