MILTON --- The Attorney General's office Wednesday filed fraud charges against a woman from Northumberland County for allegedly collecting more than $45,000 dollars in her deceased father's workers' compensation disability benefits.
Margaret Black, 50, of Milton is accused of collecting $800 a week in her father's benefits, even though the benefits should have ended with his death.
Investigators said Black received several official forms from the company and allegedly signed his name and returned the forms to the insurer.
She is locked up in the Northumberland County prison and is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing next week to face charges.
