SHAVERTOWN --- A local franchise that owns more than a dozen McDonald's restaurants in our area announced Monday it will start offering direct deposit or paper checks to workers after it was sued for using debit cards.
A worker filed a lawsuit stating that paying by debit card meant extra fees for transactions.
An attorney for the worker says the company intends to issue her a paper check for her unpaid wages.
The local franchise is owned by Albert and Carol Mueller Limited Partners, who have been operating McDonald’s franchises for more than 40 years in northeastern Pennsylvania.
