$6.8 million is in overtime costs for the hundreds of troopers who were reassigned from their barracks to the Poconos to join in the search.
Frein is charged with the shooting and killing Pennsylvania State Police Corporal Bryon Dickson, and severely wounding Trooper Alex Douglass September 12.
Frein eluded capture for seven weeks.
