LAKE HARMONY, Pa. — A young girl is dead after drowning at a resort in Carbon County.
Police say the 11-year-old was swimming in the pool at Split Rock Resort just before noon Friday when she was found unresponsive.
She was taken to the hospital but they were unable to resuscitate her.
Officers say the investigation into the drowning is ongoing.
