It's a big disappointment to runners around our area, the Steamtown Marathon is canceled again this year.

SCRANTON, Pa. — For the second year in a row, the Scranton Steamtown Marathon has been canceled.

With coronavirus cases climbing, race organizers made the announcement Tuesday night.

Thousands of runners compete every October in the race that spans from Forest City to Scranton.

The race was also called off last year.

It was scheduled for October 10.
