A shelter-in-place order was announced just before 10 p.m. on Saturday.

BRADFORD COUNTY, Pa. — UPDATE 6/13/21:

According to state police, Shulas has been apprehended.

He faces several charges, including assault in Bradford County.

Original Story:

State police in Towanda have issued a shelter-in-place order in Bradford County on Saturday night.

According to the Bradford County Code Red System alert, residents were asked to lock their doors.

Troopers are asking the community to be on the lookout for Christopher Shulas, last seen wearing a black cut-off shirt and black shorts.

Police say Shulas choked an 18-year-old woman in Ulster Township, near Towanda, until she blacked out on Saturday night. It happened after the woman accused Shulas of stealing her graduation money.

State Police add that Shulas took off with two explosive devices.

Shulas was arrested back in 2012 for allegedly kidnapping a woman and threatening to kill an elderly couple.

Troopers say if you see him, to call 911.
