Clouds and showers will be with us the rest of the week

Although light and scattered in nature, we'll have raindrops to dodge these next few days.

After two gorgeous days, we now have ushered in some rain showers, and they will unfortunately stick with us until the weekend.

The good news is that the showers will all be primarily light and scattered in nature. Not a single day is a washout, and I would keep those outdoor plans, if you have any. Just have the umbrella handy. Expect some periods over the course of the next 48 hours to have a higher likelihood of scattered showers than others, including Thursday morning and Friday evening. There will be long periods of dryness in between. Mostly cloudy skies will stick with us for Thursday and Friday. By Saturday, a gusty northwest breeze will set up and will remain through Sunday, as well. Expect sustained winds from 10-20 miles per hour. The winds will blow the clouds out though, and will bring us mostly clear skies by Sunday morning. Temperatures will hang a few degrees below average with highs in the upper 50s until Monday, which also happens to be Earth Day! Expect temperatures to shoot to the mid-60s early next week.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy with some light rain, mainly earlier. High 56.

Friday: Mostly cloudy, a few afternoon showers. High 60.

Saturday: Clearing out, partly sunny skies, breezy. High 60.

Sunday: Mostly sunny and breezy. High 57.

Monday (Earth Day): Gorgeous day to celebrate the earth! High 62.

Tuesday: Mix of sun and clouds. High 65.

Wednesday: A shower or two. High 59.
