PENNSYLVANIA, USA — Pennsylvania Senator Bob Casey announced he has cancer.
The long-time Democratic senator from Scranton released a statement Thursday, saying last month, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Casey says the prognosis is good.
He will have surgery in the coming months and expects to make a full recovery.
Casey added the treatment will not affect his work in the Senate.
