PENNSYLVANIA, USA — Pennsylvania is moving forward with its plan to merge six state-run universities, including a few in our area.

The state system of higher education voted to merge Bloomsburg, Lock Haven, and Mansfield.

The three schools would keep their campuses but share administrations.

Officials say this move will save the commonwealth millions of dollars.

The decision is not final; there is a 60 day period for public comment.
