Officials: State has paid out 76% of unemployment claims

The State Department of Labor and Industry reports that it has paid out $9 billion in benefits so far.

Nearly 2 million Pennsylvanians have filed for unemployment since the pandemic broke out in March.

Many of them faced delays and complications receiving unemployment.

But the state says, it's back on track.

According to the Department of Labor and Industry, 3 out of every 4 claims have been paid out.

Of the quarter who did not receive compensation, the state says those claims are more complicated or have been denied.
