Vice President Mike Pence is expected to make a stop in Luzerne County.

Air Force Two is scheduled to land at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport a little after 3 p.m. on Monday.

The vice president has been putting on the miles recently. On Friday, he returned from a trip to Turkey where he tried to broker a cease-fire in Syria.

In Luzerne County, Pence will visit Schott Glass on York Avenue in Duryea to celebrate the glass manufacturer's 50th anniversary.

He will also rally support for the Trump administration's trade agreement with Mexico and Canada.

Schott makes advanced glass products for the military and aerospace industry.

His visit is for Schott employees and invited guests only. It is not open to the public.

Police are issuing a warning. There will be traffic problems during the vice president's arrival and departure.

Part of Interstate 81 near the airport will be closed while the vice president is traveling. I-81 north and south near the airport exit (exit 178) will be closed.

The same goes for Main Street in Avoca and York Avenue in Duryea.

Dupont police say the intermittent delays will take place between 3 p.m. on and 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
