Flames damage business in Wayne County

Flames broke out just before 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.

HONESDALE, Pa. — A fire ripped through a business on Saturday evening.

The fire started just before 6:00 p.m. at Dick Palmer and Sons Truck Service along Beach Lake Highway in Honesdale.

A second alarm was rung, momentarily followed by a third.

A section of Route 6 was closed to give firefighters access to water tankers.

Several fire departments from Wayne County and surrounding counties responded to the fire. 

Fire officials have not said what may have sparked the flames in Wayne County.
