GILBERTON, Pa. -- One person was killed and two others were seriously hurt when two vehicles collided in Schuylkill County.
Police said two vehicles collided head-on around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday on Routh 924 in Gilberton.
Investigators said the driver of a Honda Accord was speeding and lost control. The car crossed the median and hit an SUV.
The driver of the Honda, Jason Naspinsky, 37, of Mahanoy Plane, was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the car was flown to a hospital with serious injuries.
Police said the driver of the SUV was also flown to a hospital.
Route 924 was closed for several hours while police investigated and crews cleaned up the wreck. The road reopened just before 3 p.m.
