JACKSON TOWNSHIP -- Millions of Americans drink wine every day, but not every day is dedicated to drinking wine!
The corks are popped and the glasses filled. It's all in celebration of National Drink Wine Day at Mountain View Vineyard, Winery and Distillery in the Poconos.
"I think it's awesome! Any excuse for people to come and visit us and drink some wine is great," said Linda Rice of Mountain View Winery.
For Donna Cimonetti of Long Island, New York, this day was the perfect excuse to visit the winery in Jackson Township.
"We didn't know what to do today and then we looked it up and found it online and we figured we'd just come," Cimonetti said.
The employees at the winery say they see many different people visiting this winery, all with one common love.
"Everyone enjoys wine! It's wonderful to add as an experience with your meals, to celebrate happy times, nice to add to your everyday," Crystal Swartz with Mountain View Winery said.
Whatever the reason--holiday or not--for some, drinking wine is a recipe for happiness.
"What is that saying my husband always says? 'Wine is God's way of proving that he loves us and wants us to be happy.'"
