TOBYHANNA TOWNSHIP -- A truck driver says he barely made it out after his rig went up in flames early Friday morning in Monroe County.
The driver says he was heading to New York when the rig caught fire just after 2:30 a.m. on Interstate 380. The driver stopped the truck just off the Mount Pocono Exit.
"When I got out of the driver side there were flames coming through the passenger floor board," said driver Mark Erickson. "What's going through my head? I'm glad I have my life."
The exit was closed while crews worked to clean up the mess after the truck fire in Monroe County.
