YATESVILLE — After the Pittston Area school board voted Tuesday to fire a teacher, an official with the district who asked to not be named identified the teacher as Colleen McGarry.
According to the district’s website, McGarry was a math teacher the high school.
The district will not say why McGarry was fired, but the source said she allegedly had an inappropriate relationship with a student.
The Pittston Area School District solicitor has not returned calls back to Newswatch 16.
The Luzerne County district attorney said no charges have been filed against a teacher in the district.
