DALLAS, Pa. — A 74-year-old inmate at the state prison in Luzerne County has died from coronavirus.
The man died in a hospital Monday.
He had been serving a sentence for rape since 1992.
Officials with the State Correctional Institute at Dallas report 12 active COVID cases among inmates.
There have been 21 prison employees that have also tested positive for the virus.
