WILKES-BARRE -- The mother and two daughters of a double murder suspect testified against her Wednesday in Luzerne County court.

Holly Crawford is charged in the deaths of her former lover Ronald Evans, and his son Jeff, last year near Hunlock Creek.

Wednesday morning, Crawford's mother Moya Lynn Linde took the stand.

She nonchalantly told prosecutors she was with her daughter and Holly's boyfriend James Roche on the night of the shooting. They were all watching a movie and drinking when an argument broke out over Ronald Evans, who prosecutors say was Holly's lover.

Linde testified that she was with Crawford and her boyfriend James Roche watching a movie and drinking when an argument broke out over Holly's lover, Ronald 'Barney' Evans.

"Holly and Jim started arguing about Barney again, and eventually I heard him say, 'I'm going to kill that son of a *****.'"

"Jim said to Holly, 'You don't have to come. I don't want you involved.' Then Holly said, 'I want to go for the ride.'"

When a defense attorney cross-examined Holly Crawford's mother, he asked, "Did Holly try to stop him the night of the shooting?"

Linde replied, "Yes, she said, 'He's an old man.' She tried to pacify him."

The defense then went on to try to paint Roche as a drunken, abusive man in control of Crawford.

Both of Crawford's daughters -- Tristin Crawford and Alexa Balma -- testified against her Wednesday afternoon.

On the stand, Balma told prosecutors that after the murders, her mother told her that she did something bad.

Balma told prosecutors, "I asked her outright what she did, and she said she shot Ron and Jeff in the head."

Barbara Muscovitch is a longtime family friend of the victims and doesn't believe the suspect's hard luck stories.

"Well, you know what, everybody has a hard time in life, but you don't go out and do stuff like this. You know, those are just excuses anymore about people's past life. Come on, pull it together," said Muscovitch.

Crawford faces the possibility of life in prison if convicted.

Her alleged accomplice and boyfriend James Roche is expected to stand trial in November.
